General Classes

Tuesdays:
6:15am – 7:15am
9:15am – 10:15am

General classes explore yoga in a holistic sense.

Breath is the fundamental link between the body and the mind and as such forms the basis of all yoga practice.

Each class will involve āsana (posture) linked with the breath. Each term we work with one or two themes and develop these exploring our practice from the gross to the subtle. Elements of all the tools of yoga enrich practice and you will experience these on varying levels.

Everyone is welcome regardless of previous experience.+

Gentle / Therapeutic

Wednesdays:
9:30am to 10:30am

For many people joining a general class can be a challenge physically, mentally or emotionally.

In these gentle/therapeutic classes we focus on providing an atmosphere which is sensitive and respectful. The work we do is gentle and adapted for each person's needs. We use aids such as chairs, bolsters, walls and so on.

We spend time on the physical aspect in an inclusive way, we allow time for rest and reflection and we support each other with grace.

You will be guided individually to practice in a way that suits you.

Private

Private classes offer students the opportunity to go beyond the possibilities available in group classes. By respecting and honouring personal strengths and abilities your yoga practice is developed step by step at your own pace.

Personalised practices have been the traditional method of teaching yoga for thousands of years.

Individual Classes - $95 per session (1 - 1.5 hr)

These classes are in person only

Yoga Therapy

As Therapy, Yoga is taught individually encouraging improvement & maintenance of health. Students are encouraged to improve and maintain their own health and well being physically, mentally and emotionally.

Yoga Therapy combines the many aspects of Yoga (including dietary and lifestyle advice) to assist the whole person rather than a condition or symptom. This is achieved by reducing symptoms, managing illness and stimulating the body's own healing process.

Yoga as therapy has been found to help multiple conditions, such as stress and anxiety, headaches, structural/skeletal problems, sleep and digestive disorders, hormonal irregularities, respiratory conditions and many more.

Yoga Therapy develops a personal practice over 4 sessions.

  • Session 1: Consultation and practice (1.5 hours)
  • Session 2: Review after 1 week (1 hour)
  • Session 3: Development after 1 week (1 hour)
  • Session 4: Refinement/progression 2 weeks later (1.5 hours)

COST $350

Using Zoom

If you want to join online there is a little bit of zoom etiquette.

Before class, download the Zoom.us app (it is free).

You can join a test meeting to familiarise yourself with the platform and to make sure your video and sound are working.

If you have any issues, you can email me.

Once you are signed in to Zoom, you can join the meeting link (which will be sent to you when your booking is confirmed) just before the scheduled class start time.

What you see on your computer is also what I see.

To make sure that you are safe and practicing effectively, please make sure that you place your mat in a good position and that all your body is visible both standing and sitting.

For best results….

  • position your camera on a 45-degree angle to your mat and if possible, have a blank wall behind you.
  • check that your whole body is visible (standing and sitting)
  • wear different coloured clothing to whatever is behind you.
  • allow the space around you to be relatively clear of clutter.

You will need minimal props – a bolster or cushion, a rug or blanket.

Ten minutes prior to class, click on the class link found in your booking email.

Double check your set up and rest quietly, ready to start class.
